Abstract

The monograph deals with the topic of teaching Czech as a foreign and second language. It summarizes the existing findings, and deals with the terminological issues and especially with the problem of didactic transformation of the content matter for students-foreigners.

It analyses and interprets the official materials for language description and also national methodological recommendations for working with foreigners in schools. On specific examples it demonstrates methods and forms of work in Czech language multi-ethnic classes, focusing on the specifics of the tasks assigned to students-foreigners.
