Abstract
The article reflects on diversity in medicine and health care which may be driven by current ecological and economic problems of modern health care systems. The article higlights complex interferences between modern medical science, clinical practice, drug production and technologies known as medico-industrial complex which todays is a fundamental base of dominant health care systems in advanced countries.
Social ecological model and public health approach have also been mentioned to extend possible solutions of a sustainable health care system.
