'Swift horses', a 'means of transport' as reflected in old Tamil Sangam literature

Analysis of the occurrences of three frequent lexemes for 'horse' in Old Tamil Sangam literature. Formulaic descriptions of horse and stylistic features of their occurrences also with reference to the possible 'history' of the animal in South India
