Radioactive springs of the Krkonoše Mts and Jizera Mts as geological phenomena, healing sources and tourist attractions

Abstract

Many previously unknown radioactive medicinal springs in the Czech and Polish mountain areas were discovered in the years 2005-2013. Intensive research work continues in some prime locations, carried out mainly as a continuing cooperation between the Prague and Wrocław sister institutions.

Some of the best sources have already started to be frequently visited by the public and used for their healing properties.
