Abstract
Milan Myška is a leading personality on the field of modern economic and social history for more than fifty years. His historical research concerns the topic of modernization in heavy industry in Ostrava - Silesia region in the long 19th century.
His research focus is laid upon the formation of modern industrial working class, industrial entrepreneurs and technical intelligentsia. His historical research is very well known not only in Czech Republic but also abroad.
