Abstract
Starting from the analysis of the translation correspondences of complementation patterns of the English verb come the paper demonstrates the ways in which the Czech translation counterparts can be used as markers of the boundaries and meaning of corresponding English constructions. The paper relies on the parallel corpus InterCorp.
