The core part presents up-to-date published experience and data about use of Danis stent, expert's description of application and extraction of Danis stent including tips and tricks and possible complications, present and anticipated role of the stent in the treatment of variceal bleeding together with ongoing studies, and finally, use for Danis stent outside of variceal bleeding. The last part is devoted to ideas for the future development of this revolutionary method.
