Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2013

Abstract

Present contribution focuses on a specific location in the Litoměřice District, where the researchers (M. Gojda, subsequently verified by R.

Křivánek) discovered a wide range of archeological features from various periods. They include specific fortification, visually corresponding to the layout of temporary Roman camps.

In 2013, the Institute for Classical Archeology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague (J. Musil, K.

Kůt) conducted, in cooperation with other specialists, thorough investigation of this site in the framework of the project supported by the Charles University Grant Agency. The results not only confirmed the existence of the remarkable fortification system but also revealed detailed features of the fortification elements, as well as broader contexts.
