Abstract

On the poster i presented the results of my research to diploma thesis regarding the relationship between self-esteem and health-related behavior. In the research I included items of health-compromising and health-supportive behavior and used factor and cluster analysis to get types of different lifestyles.

These lifestyles and also individual items of health-related behavior were correlated with results of self-esteem tests. I found that one cluster regarding regularity of lifestyle showed significantly lower self-esteem than the others.

Also the relation between self-esteem and factors of health-supportive behavior has been confirmed. However, the relations found are quite week.

So I decided to continue in the research in my dissertation, where I would like to get more precise results by including test of self-deception and impression management and personality test NEO-FFI.
