Abstract

The contribution is devoted to the analysis of lexical Gallicisms in the Russian language on the basis of which the potential of Russian-French interlanguage and intercultural parallels are formed. The author is defining the theoretical context of lexical borrowing as one of the ways of language lexicon enrichment.

It focuses as well on several possibilities of the use of these parallels, which contribute to the optimisation of the teaching process and its effectiveness. The article mentions how this phenomenon can help to develop students' compensatory competence they already have and to form intercultural competence in the conditions of polylingual language acquisition conditions.
