Knowledge of children's/pupil' pre-concepts of language phenomena is necesary prerequisite of successful education aiming at creating individual's language competence. The text informs of the research of elementary school pupils' ideas of particular language phenomena: a word, a nominal gender, a verbal tense and sentence.
Based on the knowledge of these and other pre-concepts it is possible to construct didactit suggestions - e. g. the material for grupping the nouns according to formal-semantic characteristic as a propedeutic of exposing grammar category of nominal gender. The pragmatic requirements to integrate the theme of communicative function of the utterance into the elementary school curriculum are of crucial importance.
