HLAVA ("head"): Profiles and Subprofiles of the Czech Concept (Comparing partly with the Russian Concept GOLOVA)

Abstract
On the basis of the theory of conceptual profiles, the article presents semantic structure of the Czech somatism hlava. From the point of view of the profile theory, in the first part Czech idioms connected with hlava are analyzed, while in the second part its expressive synonyms in Czech are interpreted, comparing with the Russian ones.
Importance of the profilig theory, and also its relations with the theory of image schemas by M. Johnson are manifested in this context.
