We start from foreign studies of the effectiveness of indicated prevention or therapy of children with problematic behaviors (ADHD, ADD, CD). The model of indicated primary prevention in this article is about preventing risky behavior among children, for which specificities are indicated increased risk of developing high-risk behavior.
Aims The aim of the research is to explore effective elements of the program realized by concrete Counselling Centre. Research monitors whether the behavior of children (relationships with peers, relationships with adults, behavior at school, attention, homework, welfare) and the relationship of parents and teachers has changed after 1 year attendance the group.
Design and Measurements It was implemented quantitative (questionnaires administered before and after by teachers and parents, using the method of paired t-test) and qualitative survey (interviews with 21 parents, a deeper analysis of the products and the questionnaire). Participants Research was conducted on 4 groups of children with problematic adaptation in school and behavioral problems on the 1st and on the 2nd stage of school.
The total number of respondents is 35children. Data come from the children, their parents and teachers.
Results After program improved children's relationship with their peers, school adaptation, communication skills, overall behavior, increased self-control. Shifts in relationships with peers based significantly in the quantitative and also in qualitative evaluation, was seen by parents, children and teachers, are therefore the most important effect.
Conclusions Basic requirements for a change among children seem partially proved. Qualitatively, it seems important theme of the relationship between family and school, that would deserve more detailed elaboration.
To distinguish proportion of the natural maturation and the influence of the group is not possible. It is possible that it would have been as effective a shorter duration group.
