Wise Women and Prophetesses of Era Transitions

Abstract

In times of anxiety and spiritual uncertainties and needs, authors of written messages focus on oniromants and necromants but also on wise women. The most dramatic era and age of a rapid changes that both honours and defames all holy people, with the inclusion of wise women and prophetesses, is most certainly the age of enormous changes and hopes - hellenism.

The figure of Sibyl coming probably from the Orient has a mate in the Greek Pythia. When there comes an era of crisis, there also appears Sibyl with a distinctive prophecy about an end of discordant arrangements and coming of an immaculate reign of good people, usually said to last one thousand years.
