Abstract
A study of documentary film Dust Games (2001) and other Martin Mareček's films is a part of the book, which critically reflects films of the leading contemporary Czech creative documentary filmmakers. The text explores Mareček's techniques and creative approaches to the reality and its cinematic interpretation, and focuses to the director's tendency of using cinema as a powerful social "gesture".
