Abstract

The topic of the chapter are the changes in compulsory school reading in Czech cultural and social context. In the empirical part, the results of the survey that was carried among 1158 respondents of different age categories in 2008 are described.

The survey was oriented at mapping typical representatives of the compulsory school reading and motivation of the choice.
