Abstract

The paper describes adapting the instrument Epistemological beliefs assessment for physical science instrument in the Czech Republic. The tool has been created by a group of scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, and it assesses the students' beliefs along five dimensions: structure of scientific knowledge, nature of knowing and learning, real-life applicability, evolving knowledge, source of ability to learn.
