Free Society in (free?) Archaeology : The International Archaeology Day in the Czech Republic for the First Time

Abstract

The paper analyzes the relation between archaeologists and the public in current Czech society. It was stated that this relation if being quickly transformed due to rapid development of the infromation technologies and social networks.

The public more and more access actively the space previously rserved exclusively for archaeologists. An example of the reaction to this shift was the first International Archaeolgy Day 2014 in the Czech Republic.
