Abstract
1950s; 1960s; Czechoslovak Writer Gallery; compromiseChapter is focused to the period, when the program of the Czechoslovak Writer Gallery reflected a more tolerant politics of the late 1950s and the 1960s. In this period, many interesting exhibitions were presented in this space.
The text points in the same time to the certain level of compromise, thanks to which the gallery didn't took part of the main exhibition spaces.
