Abstract
The author deals with the question whether the sacrament of Confirmation properly understood and that it gets proper place in the Christian life. He comes from the study of the recent history of discussion regarding confirmation, analyzes the different ways of approaching the topic (teaching of the magisterium, theological reflection, ecumenical view) and the results he subjected to rigorous criticism.
On this basis, then makes its own contribution, speculative reflection in which elaborates the important doctrinal matters: the importance of sacramental rite, the sacramental character of Confirmation, sacramental grace. He explainson the basis of theology of visible mission of divine Persons, analysis concepts priesthood of Christ and Christian worship and the notion of perfection.
Conclusions of a study illustrate the sense century ecclesiastical practice that the three sacraments of Christian initiation arranges in the order of Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist.
