The Prague University and Peregrinatio Academica of Inhabitants of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1385-1430

Abstract
This article treats the role of Prague universities in the academic peregrination of inhabitants of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1385-1430. A summary and evaluation of information from university sources is complemented by a reconstruction of situation at the site of origin of the peregrination, pertaining in particular to the development of a network of Catholic churches and schools, analysis of foundation activity in the academic sphere connected with the Christianisation of Lithuania, and an overview of the career of the Prague graduate Mathew of Vilnius.
