Two Dimensional Model of Low-energy Electron-Molecule Collisions Within Time-dependent Approach

Abstract

We present a time-dependent formulation of a simple two-dimensional model of low-energy resonant collisions of electrons with diatomic molecules. With use of the finite-element implementation of the discrete variable representation, the exterior complex scaling and the generalized Crank-Nicolson method we give a numerical solution to the time dependent problem for three model examples.
