Publication |
2014

Abstract

A sharp increase in the number of newly enrolled students in the Czech Republic particularly over the last decade has leading to the massification of the Czech higher education. Together with the increasing number of students the number of graduates was also increasing.

The study deals with the issue of demographic development in the Czech Republic and its forecast to 2030, interprets its relationship to the share of newly enrolled students into all types of tertiary education and applies also to key international indicators - net entry rate and net graduation rate. The study forecasts trends in the number of newly enrolled studies, in the number of students enrolled for the first time, in the total number of enrolled studies and in the number of graduated studies at public and private higher education institutions in the Czech Republic to 2030.

The study naturally builds on previous analyses of higher education but it processes the latest information and data.
