Abstract
The study analyzes documentation of zoomorphic themes and motifs as it is registrated and conceptualized by the most important international folkloristical catalogues and classificatory works such as type-index of folktales ATU and motif-index by Stith Thompson. Special emphasis is put on registration of zoomorphic themes and motifs in contemporary folklore, especially contemporary legends and rumours.
