On the Spread and Perception of Korean Popular Culture in the Czech Republic in Comparison with Japanese Popular Culture

Abstract
In recent years, K-pop has become particularly popular among young Czechs. As Japanese popular culture was found to commonly form a bridge to Korean popular culture, the study looked at the spread and perception of the Korean Wave in the Czech Republic in comparison with the spread and perception of the Japanese popular culture products.
The paper presents the initial findings of the study. It is primarily based on the results of online surveys conducted among the fans of Korean and Japanese popular culture in the Czech Republic.
