Ritual and Aesthetics - A search for analogies in pūjā and kāvya

Abstract

Comparison of the aesthetic and religious or mystic experience in Indian tradition. The article attempts to examine the applicability of some of the principles of the aesthetic rasadhvani theory completed by Abhinavagupta to the Hindu pūjā ritual.
