Abstract
The manuscript is intended for oncology, haemato-oncology, stomatology and dental hygiene nurses and assistants. Anatomy, microbiology and principles of clinical examination are mentioned.
The main part of the publication is focused to oral mucositis after chemotherapy and radiotherapy, its clinical features, characteristics, prevention, treatment and nursing care. Other important issues, such are infections, GVHD, osteonecrosis of the jaw are also introduced.
