Abstract

Dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system is very serious consequence of spinal cord injury, which can result in life-threatening complications. Fault autonomic regulation emptying the bladder and intestines, but sexual function after spinal cord injury is well apparent in the literature and described in the long term.

In the last decade, it is increasingly paid attention to abnormal control of autonomic cardiovascular system. Reason is certainly the fact that cardiovascular disease is currently the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in individuals with spinal cord lesions.
