Abstrakt
The Winter School is a traditional conference for mathematicians working in diverse areas of Set Theory, Topology and Analysis. The school is a meeting where emphasis is put on the joy of doing mathematics.
Questions and discussions are welcome and there is plenty of space for them outside of the talks. It is also open to advanced masters students as well as PhD students who are most welcome to not only participate but to also present their work.
The program is split into a tutorial part and a research part. The tutorial part consisted of a series of lectures delivered by the invited speakers (Claude Laflamme, UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY, CANADA; David Milovich, TEXAS A&M INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, U.S.A; Justin T.
Moore, CORNELL UNIVERSITY, NEW YORK, U.S.A.; Andrzej Roslanowski UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA AT OMAHA, U.S.A.). The titles this year were: Topics in Combinatorial Set Theory, Topological applications of long ω1-approximation sequences, Iterated forcing and the Continuum Hypothesis and Properness for iterations with uncountable supports.
The research part consisted of presentations of research papers/problems from the area of Set Theory, Set-Theoretic Topology and related fields.
