Abstract
The Preface of the special issue "Indigenous Elements in Tibetan Religions" introduces questions concerning the Tibetan religions, which are often viewed as inspired by solely Indic sources. Contrary to such approach the much more complex situation witnessing vital eclectism present in Tibet is introduced as the main topic of the issue.
