Diabetic digestive disorders should be kept in mind mostly in patients who already manifest diabetic complications, patients with unsatisfactory long-term diabetes compensation and patients with otherwise unexplained dyspeptic disorders. The key prerequisite for successful therapy of diabetic disorders of the gastrointestinal tract is a good level of diabetes compensation.
