Today's modern biological therapy for psoriasis was first used in 2004. It has since been publishing large amounts of data about this new targeted therapy, based on the results of the international randomized clinical trials, national registries, post-marketing reports, clinical trials, and descriptions of individual cases.
In recent years, were also released various national and international best practices for biological treatment of psoriasis, by any of the indicators were revised and supplemented, for example, in 2011 the German and American practices. In the Czech Republic were published consensus best practices Czech Society of Dermatovenereology to treat psoriasis biologics in 2006 and 2012.
Recommendation generally agree that the biological treatment because of its expense suitable only for severe disease who have failed standard systemic therapy. The following recommendations are based on Czech dospupných current international practice for the treatment of psoriasis, created working groups consisting of renowned dermatologists, especially of recent Anglo-American and German recommendations for biological treatment of psoriasis and the recommendations of Rheumatology, moreover, are complemented by the latest data on individual drugs which are currently shcváleny to treat psoriasis in the Czech Republic.
