Abstract
Regarding adoption of the Act No. 45/2013 Coll., Victim of Crime Act, was also conducted extensive amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure, which among others significantly affected the position of the injured party in the criminal proceedings. The most significant changes, however, were made in regulating of the legal status of the representative of the injured.
The purpose of this paper is not only to give information with respect to the changes in the legislation, but also to stimulate discussion on some particular issues which will be probably the subject of interest in the future of the courts and subsequently other possible legislative changes.
