A Contribution to the Czech Theory and Systematization of Volleyball

Abstract

The article deals with the issue of understanding and definitions of notions "rally" and "basic skill without ball" in Czech terminology and systematics of volleyball. Its need resulted on the one hand from significant changes, which has occurred in world volleyball during the last 15 years and on the other hand from disunity of views and explanations of both terms in the Czech Republic, what reflects very negatively both in tuition of P.

E. students and volleyball coaches of all levels, as well as in their successive practice. Presented work strives to refer differences, some logical incorrectness and missing segments in understanding of both notions, to try to offer partial solutions and at the same time to inspire deeper studies of given issues.

This should project specifically in elimina-ting illogicalities and into the more sophisticate elaboration of questions connected with delimitation of both notions and the enumeration of basic skills without ball occurring in a game that theory and systematics of volleyball currently almost did not recognize
