Experience with implantable cardioverter defibrillators in children under ten years of age in the Children's Heart Centre

Abstract

ICD implantation in children is effective secondary prevention of sudden cardiac death with an acceptable risk of complications. For small patients, it is possible to use alternative implantation technique sparing venous access to the heart.
