Abstract
The contribution comprehends presentation of results of prestige research probe that was done to 35 students of 1st and 2nd year of Nursing bachelor study program in combined form on the 2nd Medical faculty of Charles University in Prague in May 2014. The aim of the research was to find out a degree of prestige of General nurse employment and its social status compared with other 26 various employments.
Furthermore, there were also surveyed another circumstances important to respondents in order to compare the prestige. The methodology of Center for public opinion research of academy of sciences of the Czech Republic was used for the research itself.
From the research probe resulted that students of nursing bachelor study degree program lists general nurse employment on the 2nd place out of those 26 employments right behind the medical profession which they put on the 1st place. Respondents listed the importance for society as the most important circumstance for judging the degree of prestige of employment.
