Children autism: a review of current knowledge

Abstract

Child Autism is a severe developmental disorder, which is characterized by impaired ability to form relationships with people, respond appropriately to stimuli from the environment, compulsive desire for permanence and other symptoms seriously affecting the life of the individual and his environment. Recently managed to achieve a number of important advances in understanding both the causes of this disease and its possible therapeutic intervention.

The publication summarizes the new foreign and domestic knowledge about childhood autism spectrum and related disorders with an emphasis on research and clinical experience of the authors, who are dealing with the issue. Includes questions and the organization of related psychosocial care for children with these disorders and their families, including self-help activities and experiences of parents.
