Specialised map of physical impacts on ecosystems due to opencast mining in the Bílina mine

Abstract

Specialised map with professional content shows a map of physical impacts associated with land use changes due to opencast coal mining in relation to a potential breaching of regional ecologic limits in the Bílina opencast mine. The map contains values of Mean Species Abundance indicator that are based on the state of land use for the area of present mine, as well as the area of the potential expanse of the mine in years 2030 and 2050.

The map of physical impacts was created using ArcGIS software in GIS environment.
