Use of Lasers in Outpatient and Inpatient Procedures

Abstract

The aim of this work was to give summary information on the basis of laser radiation and its effect on tissue in the first part of the book. This theoretical part is made in full detail and accompanied by a great deal of pictorial documentation and schemes.

Twenty co-authors participated in creating the other part of the book where they charted current knowledge of laser medicine used in clinical practice. In ten subchapter in total, the authors give an overview of particular possibilities of using lasers in the field of ophthalmology, dermatology, ENT, stomatology, surgery, urology, physiotherapy, gynecology and pneumology.

The book should be an instruction for implementation of laser medicine into outpatient sphere as well as clinical one. Another aim was to describe laser medicine to medical students and to help them choose a speciality of their further education this way.
