Abstract
Type 1 diabetes is a serious disease, whose main feature is prone to hyperglycemia and acute and chronic complications that often the patient's life-threatening. It is a type of insulin-dependent diabetes, the underlying cause is the gradual reduction of own insulin secretion in B-cells of the pancreas.
More often diagnosed in childhood and younger adults, but can manifest at any time during their lives.
