The authors provide an overview of the issue of child s injury prevention and basic preventive measures related to this. The paper also contains the results of a survey on the practical implementation of child injury prevention in primary care.
Both doctors and nurses were interviewed regarding the implementation of child injury prevention an d related factors. The survey results are not satisfactory, since one quarter of all respondents doesn't carry out child injury prevention at all.
Generally, worse results were seen in the group of nurses than in general practitioners for children and ado lescents. In conclusion, the authors refer to measures that they may, in their own activities, implement to create better conditions for the implementation of child injury prevention.
