Short bowel syndrome in children - a course of treatment, current trends, nutrition

Abstract

Nowadays the incidence of short bowel syndrome increases. It belongs to a group of diseases that may arise after bowel resection and end its failure.

Its origin is determined by the length and function of the intestine and clinically define malabsorption , steatorrhea , dehydration , fluid and electrolyte disturbances economy and malnutrition .
