The present invention relates to an electrode, which makes it possible to electrically stimulate appropriate neural girdles situated below a suitable place of skin surface. Using the electrode according to the invention, it is possible to treat the malfunction of lower urinary tracts such as to prevent spontaneous escape of urine (urinary incontinence).
The electrode comprises a hemispherical contact element (1) for application onto the skin above the stimulated nerves, a core (4), which is electrically conductive connected with the contact element (1), and a permanent magnet (3) having the form of a cylinder and being co-axially inserted onto the core (4) and oriented by its north pole toward the hemispherical contact element (1). A stabilization disk (5) and means (5) for attaching to an extremity are inserted between the permanent magnet (3) and a washer (8) onto the core (4) and secured by a nut (7).
