Abstract
Preprosthetic surgery involves operations aiming to eliminate lesions and abnormalities of the hard and soft tissues of the jaws to provide a healthy and stable environment for future prosthetic restorations. Alveolplasty is the preprosthetic surgical procedure consisting of smoothing and recontouring the alveolar bone to facilitate the healing proces as well as to prepare the better conditions for the future prosthesis.
The author presents a case report of patient treated by this method.
