Abstract

The article describes the restoration of the formerly medieval Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Klecany. The restoration was done by Jan Klecanský in the Czech Renaissance style, a fashionable but rather unique style in the area of sacral architecture, based on a design by Jan Vejrych, an outstanding architect that is considered a prominent champion of this style.
