Abstract
This project is focused on the interface of multicultural education with biology. The aim of the project is to acquaint pupils with diversity of cultures and natural behaviour of humans.
By using a scientific text, pictures and videos, students are firstly acquainted with the differentiation of the human population, while the second part of the project deals with the expressions of emotions identical to all cultures. The teaching methods are represented by discussions and group work.
Special attention is given to formulation of personal opinions, acceptance of different opinions and critical evaluation of received information. There is also a simple research part included in the project.
The results show the impact of multimedia application on creating students' rational conclusions. This aspect is important to be inquired as contemporary student generation was already born in the world where media play one of the most important roles.
The question whether the use of multimedia can cause or reduce the development of misconceptions is also one of the driving questions of the mentioned research.
