Abstract
The review summarized localization and functions of VIP and PACAP in cardiovascular system. They are involved in autonomic regulation of the heart, where they exert positive inotropic and chronotropic effects, and cause coronary vasodilatation.
They have beneficial effects in various pathological conditions.
