Real-time experimenting with school digital equipment is considered one of the promising ways in order to teach and learn science effectively. Better availability of school computer measuring systems for our schools makes this modern approach a real alternative to traditional laboratory work of students.

One of the most valued benefits of this technology is real-time graphing that provides student to "see" and even to "feel" the connection between a physical event and its visual representation. This paper deals with the implementation of a biological process with a biochemical background - alcohol fermentation - into the secondary school laboratory.

The paper provides an excerpt of student worksheet supplemented by the notes for teachers that were designed by European project acronymed COMBLAB (No. 517587-LLP-1-2011-1-ES-COMENIUS-CMP). The structure of presented activity is inquiry guided and follows the three-step sequence of POE (Predict-Observe-Explain).
