Abstract
Vitiligo is an acquired pigmentary disorder of the skin and mucous membrane, characterized by bordered depigmented spots. It is a multifactorial polygenic disorder with complex pathogenesis.
Patients with vitiligo should undergo laboratory testing to rule out associated diseases.
