The main thesis of this article is that if we want to understand some new forms of scientific realism presented in the work of Bruno Latour, we have to understand his conception of semiotics. But if we want to understand what semiotics is in his concept, we have to explore Latour's interpretation of basic paradigms of this discipline, namely Latour's interpretation of J.
Greimas and C. S.
Peirce. The key question is here the relation between sign (as dyadic or triadic relation) and conception of reality.
